Did you know that over 900 listings of funding opportunities are all in an easy to search directory on MyEntre.Net? You can find most, if not all, of the local grants, loans, and city financial incentive programs for start-up or existing business owners in Iowa via our MyEntre.Net Money Map! To get started, all you need to do is log in to MyEntre.Net and click on the money tab along the top toolbar.

Statewide Financial Programs IowaOnce at the money screen, you can click on the ‘State Programs’ picture [see image left] to be taken to a list of the financial resources provided to all Iowan start up or existing businesses. For instance you could read about the Increasing Options Program, which provides loan guarantees (security for loans) for qualified entrepreneurs who do not have enough collateral to secure a loan with a bank or microlenders. Maybe you’ll stumble across the IowaMicroLoan, a program that provides loans of $5,000 up to $35,000 for a six year term, even to those individuals with poor or no credit along with a $500 a year grant for technical assistance. Perhaps the Value Added Producer grant would catch your eye- a program designed to help independent producers, agricultural producer groups, farmers and/or ranchers to receive grants to help them with planning or working capital for their small businesses. This is only a sampling of a few of the money programs offered here in Iowa all easily found on MyEntre.Net.

County Financial Programs IowaWhat about finding local funding sources for the county where you plan to do business in? MyEntre.Net has got you covered there too. You can click on the ‘Return to County Map’ button [see image right] to be taken to an interactive map of Iowa’s 99 counties. Simply click on the county where your business is located or will be located, to see all of the various funding options available to you. For instance, in Cedar Falls there is the Community Main Street Façade Grant- a program where $1,000 will be matched dollar-for-dollar to an approved façade improvement to your business building downtown. In Keokuk, there is a revolving loan fund which can give up to $25,000 in gap financing to qualifying individuals, partnerships or corporations who start a business in town. We also have a large number of power cooperative revolving loan funds- one of the largest we have on MyEntre.Net is offered by the Central Iowa Power Cooperative and covers roughly 59 counties- Wapello, Polk, Boone, Mahaska, Cass, Dallas, Page, Decatur, Madison and Adair, just to name a few.

Below is a screenshot of what the grant, loan, and city incentive listings look like on MyEntre.Net for the statewide view.  By clicking on the blue arrow, you can see the full details of the program, including a short description of the requirements and the contact person responsible for administering the financial program.  Click on the image below to be taken to the statewide Money Map listings page (free registration on MyEntre.Net will be required)!
